Wow! That is beautiful. Can you share the stitch you used... or a pattern if there is one?

Thanks!

Well, to start off, I used the

Spike Stich which is found in

The Happy Hooker.

I also used the Flower from the "Spring in Winter:

Hat and Scarf set" pattern in that book.

**If you want to do this in

more than one color, do 4 rows

of one color, then alternate with 4

rows of the other(s)**

Since my own design of this

purse was a bit "off", i'll try and tell you

what would have been better to do

than what I did.

:P

I've never made a pattern before, so

here's my first try:

-Ch 73

Row 1: Ch 1, sc around, sl to join.

Row 2-4: Ch 1, sc around, sl to join.

Row 5: Spike stich across, sl to join.

Rows 6-25: Repete rows 1 - 5.

Row 26: Ch 1, sc in next 9. Ch 18, skipping over the corresponding 18 sc in last row. Sc in next 18. Ch 18 again, and sc until end of row, sl to join.

Row 27-28: Ch 1, sc across and over chains, sl to join.

I hope that helps!

:D
