I am reading through it, and it looks like a circle pattern. But how would that look in the end like the triangle end in the picture?

have not been crocheting long, but it looks like you start on the bottom tip and build up. it will get wider as you go because you are adding stitches to each row.

not sure if i am right, but that is how it looks to me.

Yup, you start at the bottom, and keep increasing on each row. I haven't done that one, but I have done others like it.

I agree with Kat & Sue. Starts out as 1 circle, then Row 2 would be 2, Row 3 would be 4, Row 4 would be 8, etc. Eventually you will have a triangle scarf/shawl. I just did basically the same pattern but for the Lion Brand Suede Shawl. It is almost identical. I ended up with 60 rows and it was a triangle in the end. Hope this helps.

I made that shawl...at first it looks a little funny but after a few rows it starts to look more triangle-y...It was fun to make....works up pretty fast...

I should also note that the beginning circle and following 'circles' soon begin to look like squares or boxes...once you start seeing the transformation from circles to boxes, then you'll also see how the shape is forming into a triangle. It shouldn't take more than a couple of rows to see this transformation.

I recently did a shawl with a pattern similar to that one. It will work out fine.
