Barbie dress from years ago

Here's a barbie dress that I made when I was probably in grade school or middle school. I didn't follow any pattern and made up the stitches as I went because I think all I knew how to do was chain. I'm not even sure if someone taught me how to do sc...

 

I also made the blanket by looking at something similar (I think it might have been a granny square halter top).

Reminds me of the Barbie clothes I made when I learned to crochet more than 20 years ago. The blankie, I never managed to tackle grannies until recently. Good on' ya'

Good job! It's nice that you still have it. I remember making things for my barbie, she's the first "person" that I sewed for (on my child size, electric (!) sewing machine at 5 yrs.--I panic when I let my girls use my sewing machine now and they're older that that-lol).......................Lise
