my Beanies!! i've gone beanie mad!!

hi everyone,

 

these are my most recent projects i have completed... Beanies!!

i love them mainly because they are fast to make and you get the end product quickly!!! I have to say that after my cloak which i will dedicate a thread to... i didn't really want to see another crochet hook ever!!! that was hard work... sooo beanies have come to my rescue! lol well without further delay..

I love the brim pattern and have made many of these with different colors. My sons, 22, 19, 16 love them they each have two and want more! Also made for my Son in law, and two grandsons.

yes i love my hats...lol

 

i have given a few away to family members my inspiration came from my grandmother she has recently had an operation to remove bowel cancer and she lives in one of the warmest / coldest parts of Victoria so i thought she needed something to keep her warm.

 

and i thought it would be a good idea for my daughters birthday she is 3 i don't like giving kids lollies/ candy after the party so i decided to make beanies for everyone who came. for her first birthday i made ginger bread cookies for everyone and put a T for my daughters name and her 2nd birthday i made play dough kits so this year i thought beanies and the best thing is they can keep them fro yeas to come!!

 

the brim hat came from the same books as my cloak golden hands.

i must make it in a different colour as black is much to dark to see the nice shell pattern, but i absolutely love that green hat it is the first hat i made out of proper Aussie wool from a wholesale outlet and the rest are all acrylic.
