The pink mat, actual white, is to have a clean area, just in case one is needed; and used to wrap around the bag to keep the contents in place and hidden.

 

As far as a pattern not really. I doubled crocheted in a circle until it was long enough to double back to form the outside pockets. bag is supported buy some plastic, i found at the craft store. inner lining just another double crochet to cover the mesh. pockets formed by sewing support lines through the side.
