I made a version of the poncho using a pattern from Maggie's Crochet. I loved how it turned out.

 

I wore it to work yesterday, and I will lend it to my LYS today for display.

That came out beautiful. I have that pattern also. Will have to give you a try. I agree with you also that Homespun and the foundation row are a . How long did it take you to make it up?

I am making this poncho for my Mom, and the only way to do the fondation row is by feel with the homespun, after that it is a breeze. I am using the Lionbrand pattern. I'm about halfway done now.

I did most of it in one evening and finished the neck the next day. It's on display at my LYS now although I'm really thinking about another one--this time in brown.
