Super Soap Saver (Edited - link to pattern on original post)

I picked up this cotton yarn to make a washcloth for my daughter's Brownies sleepover, and had enough extra to whip up one of these. Which was good, because the Polish in me wanted to cry every time I threw away a bit of soap that I just KNEW could be used if only I could figure out how!

 

It's the kids' favorite thing to use in the bath now.

My family have been using these for as long as I can remember.....war and the depression made my Grandparents and my parents SUPER savers of everything. Now we do it to save the environment

I am the same way. I save every little scrap of soap and put it in the hand soap dish and squish them together. (Only soap smiley I could find.)

Hey that's a really good idea! I try to squish the leftover soaps together but they always fall apart... this is a great solution!

What a cool idea! Where'd you find your pattern?

 

DH thinks he need a new bar when there is plenty left. I'd really like to make one--instead of chasing the little bars around the shower.

Actually, I didn't use a pattern. I did it without one. I'm in the middle of writing up the pattern to this to post on my blog. I'll let y'all know when it's up there. (Sometime tomorrow, hopefully.)
