Hello. My name is Calypso.

 

I live in a small town in Central Iowa, and don't know anyone here who crochets. I moved here a year and a half ago from California.

 

The only places to buy yarn here are WalMart and Hancock Fabrics in Ft. Dodge (about half an hour away), so I do some mail-ordering. Actually, though, WalMart has gotten some variety in their yarns (finally), and I was suprised to find that Red Heart was branching out a little. I bought some Tiki, which I combined with Bernat's Fur Out, and Eye Lash to make a muffler for my mother. It turned out well.

 

My goal is to learn how to crochet women's and men's sweaters. I've done a couple, but they didn't turn out as well as I had hoped.
