Darling Canadian Pattern

I have a question! I stumbled across this darling pattern. If you look closely, the doll is only 1-1/2 INCHES tall. Oh my! I remember a Red riding hood topsy turvy doll from my childhood and thought I would look for the pattern. This is adorable, but too small for my eyes and hands.

I think I will try it with a larger hook and yarn. (After Christmas?) Anyways, are Canadian patterns like ours or like Europe's patterns? (For instance is the double crochet really a single crochet.)

You can safely make Canadian patterns, we use the same as American stitches.....our hooks are sized in metric but also have the corresponding letters as American hooks!!
