Lion Brand Shawl

I have made four of the Easy Triangle shawls from the Lion Brand web site. This particular one is made in some of the earliest available Homespun (it has improved since then.) This sucker is shedding something awful, I might as well be wearing a cat! And I paid more than $7 a skein for this! The colors really rippled. It is not the prettiest of the four shawls, but I think it is the softest.

That looks great, I really love the color. :cheer

Have you looked at knotting or twisting the edges?

I made several scarves with Homespun for gifts last year and it seemed to be the raveled edges that fuzzed and shedded the most.

You are right, Homespun's biggest flaw is how it unravels and flares out. To keep the fringe from raveling I tediously tied knots in both ends of the fringe as I cut them. There is a thread that wraps around the yarn, and you darn sure better remember to catch it in that knot! :remember
