I'll try top post the Word stuff but I will put all the images at the front.  unfortunately the formatting stays but the images don't.  It is too difficult for me to place pics in the Ville format but you can move them when you dl the pattern.

The Post stitches seem like a trail of water drops down a window.

 

WW yarn [#4of6]

SW yarn in white [#3of6]

4.5 and 5.5mm hooks

Shawl…

Beginning V-stitch: begV-st,  ch4, dc in same st.

 

V-stitch: V-st, [dc, ch1,dc] in the same st.

 

The Dress…

 

With MC and 5.5mm hook ch 41…

 

Row 1: hdc in 2ndc ch from hook and in next 12, work a 3dc dec, dc in 8, 3dc dec, hdc in 13. (26 hdc, 8dc, 2 -3dc dec).

 

Row 2: work across in [dc in 1, FPdc around next] (18 dc , 17 post dc)

 

Row 3: work across in [dc in 1, BPdc around next]

 

Rows 4-5: Rep rows 2 and 3 once.

 

Row 6: work 2 dc in ea dc and post st around post st. (36 dc , 17 post st)

 

Row 7: dc in ea dc and post st around every post stitch.

 

Row 8: work 2d in ea dc and post st around post st then join and turn.

 

Row 9: for ea 2dc group make 1 increase, continue post sts.  At the end of the row work one more dc over the join from row 8.  (55 dc, 17 post st)

 

Row 10: work evenly in pattern making a post st around that extra dc at the end of pattern. (55 dc, 18 post st)

 

Rows 11-13: work evenly in pattern.

 

Row 14: for ea 3dc group work [dc in 1, 2dc in next, dc in next], into each post st work 2dc.  (111 dc) Join and break off; tidy all ends.

Bodice trim and edging row…

 

 

Work sc along left back edge to top, ch 3 (counts as dc) and dc in next 3, tr in next 3, ch 6, sk to front ‘hump’ sts from 3dc dec, work 2tr clusters across front of dress to next hump, ch 6, work tr in 6^th st from end, tr in 2, dc in 3, ch 3 (button loop formed) and slst to right top edge.  Sc along right back edge working one more button loop at waist, join to beg sc w/ slst… break off and tidy ends.

 

Actually I like the technique of tying the two tail ends into a little bow – saves all that tidying away

 

Hem trim…

 

Att yarn in a back loop of a hem edge and work in back loops only…

Trim row 1: dc in 3, *ch 1, sk 1, dc in 6* rep to las 8 sts, here we have to fudge a bit… ch1, sk1 2dc in 1, dc in 2, 2dc in next, ch1, sk 1, dc in 2 and 1 more in beg dc…and join,

 

Trim row 2: dc in 2, *ch 3, sc in ch 1 sp, ch 3, sk 1 dc , dc in 4* rep around and end w/ dc in 2 and join.

 

Trim row 3: sc in 1, ch4, sc in sc,* ch 4, sk1 dc, sc in 2dc, ch4, sc in sc* rep around and end w/ sk1, sc in sc, join and break off.

Shawl…

 

w/ 5mm hook and SW yarn ch 5 and join…

 

Row 1: ch 4 (counts as dc/ch1) work dc/ch1 into ring 5 times, work 1 more dc. (7dc/6ch1 sp)

 

Row 2: begV-st, [ch1/dc in ch sp] 3 X ch1, V-st in next dc, [ch1/dc in ch sp] 3X, V-st in 3^rd ch of ch 4.

 

Rows 3-> : work in established pattern with beginning and ending V-st and V-st in centre V-st with dc/ch1 mesh for each ch1 space.  Don’t forget the ch 1 sp made by beginning and ending V-st on the row below,

 

 

Make your shawl as large as you want – I did 9 rows of the mesh stitches.

 

Trim rows…

 

 

Row T1: work a solid row of dc working 2 dc in beg and end stitches and work [2dc, ch1.2dc in centre V-st.

 

Row T2: work across in sc/ch3/sk 1. If your numbers work out put [sc/ch3/sc] in your centr point.

These images are as much a part of my Web image as a designer as the patterns are and I reserve that use to myself alone.

Row 8 is the beginning of increase rows to make the skirt fuller.  for each dc you will work  2 dc but you maintain the post stitches to continue the 'rivulets' motif.

Im sorry but I’m having trouble here. Row 6 and 7 have 36 DC and 17 post ST, and I’ve got that. But then row 8 says to work 2DC into each DC and post st, join, turn. (As you previously clarified) And this would give me 72 DC (and 17 post). And then row 9 says to increase one DC per 2DC group, which gives me 108 DC, not 55, as the line states. 

Please help. Thank you in advance.
