Over the head gowns okay?

I'm wondering, those of you who have donated crocheted clothes for preemies, how do hospitals feel about clothes that have to go over the head? I'm making up some gowns and I made one that goes over the head and one that wraps like a kimono. Any thoughts?

I am not an expert or anything, but I would think hospitals would prefer the wrap style to an over the head style, due to the amount of tubes and sensors and such that most preemies are hooked up to. IMO

I agree with you...wrap style would work best. With tubes and feeding, and changing...I would go with the wrap.

I have a Threads of Love Chapter and I know the gowns they request are always opened no over the head. Some babies have monoters attached to there heads and tubes in their noses. So please ask at the hospital you are donating to but I am sure they will say opened ones!

Having had a premmie who spent almost 3 months in a NICU I would say wrap around definatly! Those cords and tubes can be bigger than the baby and hard to work around.
