Tie's for Guys

I crochet them a while ago for a family friend. He is an older guy. He was telling me that long time ago he had a tie made out of yarn at is was a store bought. He liked that tie and couldn't find another one. I thought I knew what kind of tie he was talking about. I remember that kind of a tie. My son had to wear that with his Band uniform. But, that was a very different tie, it was machine made out of very thin yarn as thin as thread. I told my friend that I could crochet him a tie BUT it will not look the same as his old one. And I did crochet 3 of them for him. He liked those tie's very much. He is still wearing them to church on Sunday's He is even getting compliments on them LOL.

 

They were only 2" wide. He wanted "skinny" tie.

Very nice Krys! I remember the crochet skinny style from the late 1950's to 1960's. Very popular with the young men back then.
