Perfect!!!! I have a ball winder but have been considering buying a swift also. I was hesitating though because of the price and was it really necessary. This is my answer. It looks like the only things I may need to buy for this is the gripper pad and lazy susan. My hubby is good about taking larger boxes and cutting them down to make smaller boxes so that should take care of the box I will need. Everything else I have on hand. for sharing this.

Thanks for your comments. I thought this was a really good idea, lots better than looping the yarn over the kitchen chairs or recruiting a volunteer to keep their arms out straight for an hour.

 

Seems everyone's arms around here are 'too tired' 2 minutes after we start!
