I had just been looking through Crochet Reference books to give my sons some ideas for what to get me! They always ask and I thought this time I would give them some specific help. Thanks so much for compiling this list! It is perfect! I may just copy it off, mark the ones I already have and then let them pick! Very nice of you to do this!

 

While I am at it -- what is everyone's best recommendation for an intermediate reference book? I especially want to learn to read charts better. I can follow the legend but I am not comfortable with crocheting from a chart yet. I also would like to challenge myself a bit to be able to substitute stitches to add more interest to simple projects, learn a few new stitches, and maybe even try my hand at freeform. Most of all, I want a good solid reference resource for specialty stitches beyond the usual sc, dc, tc.
