Amigurumi help!

Hey! I did a search for amigurumi to look for some help, but it was to no avail, so maybe one of you can help me--

 

I really would like to learn amigurumi, particularly so I can make little crochet versions of my chihuahua, but I can not for the life of me afford a book, as I am 16 with no job [although I am looking] and I can't find any free patterns! Can anyone help me? Or at least point me in the direction of how to make the shapes, like tubes and balls and ovals and cones and whatnot? Thank you in advance!

Amigurumi are stuffed toys made by tightly crocheting shapes. For some pics see here (but the qauliy of crochet may make you wanna cry-I know mine isn't even close to this level of neatness!)

Yes there is a free chi pattern. One of the ladies on another group I belong to posted this site this weekend. There's a pattern for the dog and some patterns for outfits.
