Orange and Green Yarn

I hook

Yarn Needle

 

 

Make 2 with orange

 

Chain 4

 

12 DC in 4 chain from hook. Join with Slip Stitch. (12 DC)

 

Chain 3

2 DC in each stitch around. Join with Slip Stitch. (24 DC)

 

Fasten off. Weave in ends.

 

Place the two rounds together and sew 1/2 around using the needle.

 

 

Attach green yarn to the top of one of the rounds.

 

Single Crochet 4 stitches

 

Turn Chain 1

Single Crochet the 4 stitches

 

Turn Chain 1

Decrease Single Crochet 2 stitches twice

 

Turn Chain 1

Single Crochet the 2 stitches.

 

Fasten off.

 

Attach green yarn to the bottom of the green stem.

Chain 10

3 Single Crochet in each stitch.

Fasten off.

While I was making a whole pile of these up, I was thinking....they would probably be cute as snowmen for Christmas! Just use white yarn and do a top hat, sew on a face and there you have it! Could probably even do them as a leprechauns for St. Patty's Day. Maybe even Uncle Sam for 4th of July! The possibilities with this pattern are endless! THANKS AGAIN FOR SHARING!! :hook

Here are pics of my snowman and elf made with the same basic pattern. They are in their camo for the military troops I sent them to.

 

I will have these patterns up on my blog later on with more Christmas patterns.

The snowman and elf are so cute too!!

I made a whole bunch of the pumpkins. I will check out your blog. I will probably use the snowman pattern for a church that I used to go to. They asked if I could make some crafts for their bazaar that they are having in November. They are trying to raise money for renovations. I am sure that the pumpkin ones would still go over big for Thanksgiving.
