Rings for Fat Bottom Bags

Hi all! I am trying to locate the rings to use for handles for the fat bottom bag I want to begin. the only resource I have near me is a Micheals store, other than a Walmart. No LYS that carries that sort of item. Is there a recommended place on the web?

you can use a medel ring and crochet around it.

I did that for one that I made.

I spray painted...or rather asked my dear father to spray paint some bamboo ones I found a Joann's. I would suggest you go there....I do hope you have one!

Another place to get them, go to thrift stores, Salvation Army, etc. and purchase purses with the rings and recycle them :-)

I went to e-bay. I forgot what the sellers name was there, but I ordered 15 prs. of plastic rings. Some were glittery, some had that "marble" look, and then there were the plain ones. All were very nice colors!!

I get most of mine at the Goodwill Thrift Store and repurpose/recycle the handles, hardware and sometimes even the lining. The store near me has tons of bags and I usually can find at least 2 or more every time I go there.

Would keyrings work? Just crochet over them.

Thanks so much for all the advice/suggestions. I do not have a Joann...it too has faded from our area along with Hancock. I do have Goodwill Stores here and so I am off to see if it's my lucky weekend for recycling rings!
