Easter Clothes and a Dress (Lots of Pics)

This is my first show and tell.

 

I had made a sweater for my son and a dress for my daughter from patterns. I realized quickly that I don't like following a pattern or guessing how it is going to fit, and I absolutely hate sewing pieces together. So I decided to try and make some clothes for my kids on my own that required no sewing. I took their measurements and got to work. I made my daughter a simple dress and my son a vest for Easter. I know they are really simple, but I've only been crocheting for about nine months, so I'm pretty happy with them. ;P

 

I made the pink/purple/brown dress earlier this week. It's my favorite thing I've crocheted so far. I didn't use a pattern--just my daughter's measurements. I wanted to try out the four double crochet shell stitch I learned last week.
