  1. Since I can't crochet for a couple of more months (Hand surgery) I sewed a blanket! What a year this has been so far! The pink backing was super easy to sew and the front one not so much.
  2. Absolutely beautiful! You did awesome for it being your first one!
  3. Well - thanks for all your input - I am trying another one for a girl because of course after all that stressing to get this one done, she had a girl this morning, Maci Rayanne (both parent's middle name combined). Even though this is niece/nephew number 10, I am super excited! One question though - Can I go opposite ways everytime I change the color or do I need to do it every round? Thanks for your help!
  4. Here is my baby boy blanket - I wouldn't have chosen these colors but they were in my stash and went well together. It is for my sister-in-law if she has a boy tomorrow (I have a girl blanket that I finished months ago) Can anybody enlighten me on why the center looks scewed? Thanks, Lori
  5. Beautiful bag! My first thought was wedding! I will have to make something similiar to that!
  6. That is funny! Thanks for sharing!
  7. My favorite is the sunflower one! Great job!
  8. When and where will this pattern be available? I would love to make it one my wrist heals!
  9. All I do is get a towel and pot holder that matches. Measure the potholder and mark across the center, then attach it to the center of the towel. Add a button and wala - your done. Can't really go wrong with it. I made all these in less than an hour.
  10. I love your cards - I make them too but have run into a wall with ideas. Hopefully I will get back to it again soon!
  11. Here the hanging towels that I finished today. I won't be making any for awhile as my wrist surgery is slated for Tuesday. I really love making these towels but had issues finding pretty towels and potholders that matched.
  12. I love your afghan - I have one almost the same style and colors that my Aunt made me before she passed away. Beautiful colors! Good Job!
  13. Yes, they are pot holders and towels. I sew them down the middle. I make the front side a little longer then the back so that it hangs better. It is hard to find matching pot holders that have the loop in the middle. Most tend to have them on the sides. I really enjoy making them.
  14. I officially think that I am addicted to making these. They only take about 10 minutes a piece to make. I post them on Facebook and the first person that comments normally gets one I love it when I make things that others want! Such a feeling of accomplishment!
  15. That is beautiful! It would match my bedroom quite nicely
  16. I Love it! That is a piece of art
  17. I love reading these! I will share mine too. I come from a large family (8) and some of them don't care for my crocheting, especially my oldest sister. She doesn't think that they are "practical." Well, once she had three boys, she got sick and tired of her kitchen hand towel disappearing. She saw the one that Mom had with the crochet top and button and was like, I want one of those. I made one for her 4+ years ago and the last time that I saw it it was practically worn out! Talk about a great feeling when she is not into homemade stuff! (I should make more, but I really don't like making them) My younger and youngest sister will take ANYTHING I make! I love doing stuff for them because they know how much work goes into them and will proudly display them even if they have mistakes!
  18. I have a friend that wants to knit slippers for her boyfriend but is not sure what type of yarn to use? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
