Wriggly Trivets - Shamrock, Peace, and Smiley

I've made more wriggly trivets!

 

 

The shamrock pattern is from the Hot Stuff trivet book here. I used a minty variegated thread for the background.

 

The other two trivets I designed myself with graph paper.

 

For this Mondrian Peace trivet I outlined a peace sign and the trivet itself in black thread. Then I filled in the sections using popular colors Piet Mondrian used for his artwork. Mainly blue, yellow, red, and white.

 

Finally, for the Tie-dyed Smiley trivet, I used a pastel rainbow-colored thread for the background. I wanted to give it a look like the actual tie-dyed t-shirts have.

 

I love the wriggly crochet technique! It's so fun and you can really go crazy designing your own things.
