Crochet Hand towel

Ok I'm wondering has anybody made crochet hand towels just curious because I want to make crocheted hand towels but can't seem to find a pattern though I'm sure I'll make up my own pattern for a dishtowel

I made up my own patterns just because it was simpler.

I just use a washcloth pattern I like and make it bigger.

http://www.crochetpatterncentral.com has some nice towels in the kitchen category. I just made some dish towels and hanging towels as part of a shower gift, and I'm starting a towel for my pup. I figure it's about time Rosie got her own, since I'd made one for SarahJane when I first got her and Rosie just turned one. This will be stripes of Peaches and Cream alternating print and solids, and sized so it would fit for use as a crate liner, too.

I recently was at hobby lobby and I found a pattern book with crocheted dish cloths and towels.

I made one once, was inspired by a knit one I saw at the LYS and thought.. I can make that in crochet! All it was was a basic chevron ripple.

Do you love the towels? Are they worth making?

I love them, and they make great 'on the go' projects because of the small amount of materials needed to complete them. I think I'll put Rosalita's towel-to-be in the car as my project for the daily ride to visit my son at the nursing home. It's too hot to work on the afghans I'm doing at home, but a towel will be just the right size.
