I want to dye!

I have a skein of Aunt Lydia's Rug Yarn that my grandma gave me.

It's 75% Rayon and 25% Cotton. It absorbs water very well. Does anyone think it would work for dyeing??

It would need to use a commercial dye as opposed to a food coloring or drink mix dye; and I'm not sure about the Rayon and Rit being compatable.

Leisure arts has a tutorial on dyeing yarn with Kool-aid. Looks really easy.
