Hamanaka Rakuraku Double-ended Crochet Hook Set

Hey, I was looking at different kinds of crochet hooks and came across this japanese "Hamanaka Rakuraku Double-ended Crochet Hook Set"

Has anyone had any experience with these or know anything about them? I think they look pretty nice! I don't know what purpose double ended crochet hooks have though.

seems just to be that you are getting 2 hook sizes on 1 shaft. 1/2 the hooks to keep up w/.

Double ended hooks with different sizes on each end have been around for a long time. When Clover did them they were refered to as 'traveling hooks' so you save room in your project bag.

 

KnitPicks has a set without the padded handles for $4.99. I have seen the Japanese ones and will watch them, right now I can't justify the expense.

 

If you get some, please let us know how you like them.

I have this set of hooks and I like them. Very comfortable but I also have a set of of the Clover Soft Touch that I use more.

I have a set too and absolutely love them! They are very comfy to use and I crochet very smoothly with them. Well worth the investment!
