Hooked on Hairpin

So I have become hooked on hairpin.

 

I started on the blue shawl before Easter and ran out of yarn. Finally finished it off.

 

This is the pattern.

I preferred a darker colour plus because I had no idea what the yarn was substituted. Mine turned out a bit sqaure so I added a fringe.

 

 

 

The skinny pink scarf I made while I was waiting to get up to Brisbance to get the extra blue I needed. I did this with one ball of 8ply cotton from my stash. It uses the woven joing method.

 

 

 

 

I am now starting some more shawls. Any one want to join me for a Hairpin crochet along? (HCAL)

How lovely! I especially love your shawl! I might be interested in a HCAL. I haven't searched yet, but have you found many patterns for hairpin lace? It is so pretty!

Not a lot of patterns out there, but it is very relaxing to do!

Well tonight I finished my second shawl. I will take a photo on the weekend so you can see how it turned out. This is becoming addictive!
