For joining squares that do not have the same number of stitches per side, what is the best method?

CrochetDude's Dudessembly?

Priscilla's flat braid method?

PLEASE HELP!

I had this with a babette blanket, I whipped stitch then together. They were of different sizes as well as different types of squares. I tryed several types of connecting stitches before finally just pulling out needle and yarn. That is worked the best for me.

I posted in your other thread, but for the benefit of others, I'll post here, too....

I just use a sc method, doing a sc in the top loop of each stitch - on the front. Since your squares aren't all the same number of stitches, sometimes you'll have to put two stitches to one stitch, but it'll turn out fine. You can PM me if you decide to try this method and need help.

I made two kids comfortghans and decided to assemble with single crochet on top making a bit of textural interest. I just fudged it as necessary to keep things flat and first assembled all the squares across a row, then assembled the rows into columns.
