Hand Applique

i was making up a wall decoration for the baby's room and wanted to use both hand and footprints... i couldn't find a pattern for a hand print... so i made my own... thought i would share it with you all! :)

 

This is the wall decoration i made... and as you can see the little hand prints are baby blue....

Hand Applique

Abbreviations: - sc (Single Crochet) - trc (Tripple crochet)

- ch (Chain) - dc (Double crochet)

- Dec (Decrease) - hdc (Half-double crochet)

 

Always end a row with a ch 1, and do not count it as the first sc.

 

With MC

Row 1: ch6, sc in 2nd ch from hook and across (5)

Row 2 & 3: 2sc in 1st sc, sc to last, 2sc in last (7, 9)

Row 4: sc in 1st, ch 7, tr in 4th ch from hook, dc in next 2 ch, hdc in next, sc in same as 1st sc, sc across remaining 8 (makes thumb)

Rows 5 – 8: sc across (8)

Row 9: (Make the fingers) sc in 1st, ch 5, hd in 3rd ch from hook, sc in next 2 ch, sc in same as 1st, sc in next sc of row 8, [(sc in next, ch 7, dc in 3rd ch from hook, hdc in next 2 ch, sc in next 2 ch, sc in same) sc in next sc of row 8] 3 times from [ to ] on the last time sc in last sc of row 8 instead of in same as start of that finger.

Fasten off
