Football Coaster

Here's the pattern for the football coasters I made last month. I jotted down the pattern as I went, but it's not exactly written like it should be (ideally). Still, it should be understandable (I hope!). I haven't done any coasters since typing this in, so if you find any typos, please do let me know. Thanks!

 

 

Special notes:

 

I always do the 3-stitch groups using both loops rather than BLO (back loop only) - makes them more secure. Nearly everything else is worked in BLO.

 

Pattern:

 

Ch 8

 

Round 1:

Sc in each ch, putting 3 sc in the last st. Then, working in the free loops of the starting chain, sc in each st, putting 2 sc in the last st (makes a 3-sc group, together with the first sc of the round). Join w/ sl st to first sc. Ch 1.

 

Round 2:

In BLO, sc in ea. sc around, putting 3 sc in the middle sc of ea. 3-sc group on the last round. Join w/ sl st to first sc. Ch 1.

 

Round 3:

2 sc in first sc, sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc, 3 sc in next sc (middle of the 3-sc group on last round), sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc, 3 sc in next sc (middle of the 3-sc group on last round), sc in last sc. Join w/ sl st to first sc. Ch 1.

 

Round 4:

2 sc in first sc, sc in next 7 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc, 3 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 7 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc, 3 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc. Join w/ sl st to first sc. Ch 1.

 

Round 5:

2 sc in first sc, sc in next 3 sc, hdc in next 3 sc, sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 3 sc, 3 sc in next sc, sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 3 sc, hdc in next 3 sc, sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 3 sc, 3 sc in next sc, sc in next 3 sc. Join w/ sl st. Ch 1.

 

Round 6:

Sc in first sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 9 st, 2 sc in next st, sc in next 2 st, hdc in next 3 st, 3 dc in next st, hdc in next 3 st, sc in next 2 st, 2 sc in next st, sc in next 9 st, 2 sc in next st, sc in next 2 st, hdc in next 3

st, 3 dc in next st, hdc in next 3 st, sc. Join w/ sl st. End off.
