Knitted Bunny

Just finished one of MANY gifts I'm knitting for my first grandchild. This pattern came from Family Circle Easy Knitting - Fall 1999. It turned out cute, but I have to say I will NEVER make another one! (Sorry to all my future grandchildren!)

It looks very cute. Are they just too much trouble to put together? I've never knitted an animal.

If it's because of all the sewing pieces together....I know what you mean. I made a couple of those Alan Dart Christmas gnomes....those are the only 2 I made...I hate to seam!

Yes it is the sewing up I hate. Also, it is worked with two strands of yarn held together and that is a pain so the knitting was tedious. I like items I can get into a rhythm and just knit, but this was a piece here (sew it together) and piece there (sew it together). I didn't really enjoy it. But I hope the baby likes it!

That is a very cute bunny.

I found, that even with the crocheted animals, a lot of them have a lot of sewing to them.

Have you look at the Jean Greenhowe patterns? Some of them, as not so much sewing.

I will have to look for this pattern, this bunny is really cute.
