What to teach teenagers for beginning Crochet?

I vote for the small purse/ipod/cell phone cozy - they can make it universal to suit their needs.

I also like the purse tote bag, but not much for boys.

Boys would probably like the beanie hats....they are just done in rounds right? Nothing really hard there.

 

hair scrunchies...that was a good idea too.

 

ANOTHER good idea would be can and bottle cozies....they are very easy to make, take only about a couple hours for a beginner, and instant usage. Boys & Girls could use them!!

 

tie belts...just make really long skinny scarves.

ear warmers or headbands...sc or dc a strip and whipstitch ends together

scarfs. Teenagers love them and there are so many different styles to choose from.

I definitely agree with the scarf idea. My teenagers as for them all the time.

I like things made from squares and variations there of pillows, draw string bags, hats and so on. I like the cell phone cosie idea.
