Thanks, Granny! I'm tending toward a shawl or hat/scarf, but I want it to be super pretty. Does anyone have a go-to shawl or scarf pattern that is really purty?

Check out the stitch in this afghan:

It's from a class that I took here on Crochetville back in June. The pattern is available for purchase on Kim's website.

There were several people in the class who did scarves and wraps instead of the full afghan, since the class was only a week long. In fact, I plan to make a shawl later this fall using this same stitch pattern.

That might be enough yarn for this shawl: http://qualitycrochet4fun.blogspot.com/2008/07/angel-wings-shawl-pattern.html

Doesn't take much yarn and it works up really fast if you use a larger hook.

The pattern is really simple!!

Good Luck with finding a project for it!!

It's lovely indeed! But I don't know afghan stitch! :eek I'll have to save it for another project!

I might do that, Julee!

I was thinking about maybe making a head scarf or headband to go along with a shawl. If I use an M hook for Julee's shawl, I should have enough for a headband (maybe along these lines) to keep my ears warm! :crocheting

Or a puffy slouch hat and scarf...
