Chemo hats for a little girl

My neighbor's niece just had a tumor removed from her brain on Wednesday. It is cancer, so she will start chemo soon.

 

She's nine years old. Does anyone know of a good site to find patterns for a little girl for hats?

 

Something that looks like a young girl would like to wear?

 

Any help would be appreciated. Prayers for Sam would be helpful too.

Just a thought here, I know that chemo caps have to be made from very soft yarns as rougher ones will irritate the scalp. I love to go to Dot's blog for hat patterns because obviously that woman LOVES to make hats! Here is the link

I would love to send her a care package not a hat but some other cute girly stuff

So can you give me your address and i can send you a package for her or ask her parents permission for me to mail it directly to her so she can get it in her hands herself to know she is thought of....

Maybe you can find out what are her favorite things etc.

check with schmetterling - look at her signature and her blog - she had undergone a bunch of brain surgerys and has awesome info for hats - i am sure she would love to guide you to some good ones!!
