Fur Scarves?

Guest mishakitty78

Question

Guest mishakitty78

<If I posted this here already, I appologize, but I've been sick, had a comp crash and just wanted to get back to my crochet>

When you make a fun fur esque crochet scarf, do you

1. Use two strands together (1 ball each)

or

2. Use two balls, single strand?

I figure it depends on length, width, etc, but any tips would be great.

Thanks!

I agree with threeolive and Marvie; I just finished a fun fur scarf (knitted, but I could hardly see what I was doing!) It's much easier held together with something else. I think it looks better, too.:)

If you don't want to crochet the novelty yarn with a sport or baby weight yarn and you want it to be only the "fur" you could crochet BETWEEN the stitches. You still can't see it very well, but you can feel your way through the project. I've done it and it turns out really nice :coffee
