Thick Hunting Throw

I thought this up yesterday while I was looking at a pile of camo fleece that I had from a sale at Hancock Fabric. 5 yards and I wanted something cool out of it.

My Niece's fiancé hunts alot, and I've been promising him a blanket to keep warm with while he's in the deer blind this winter. Using the technique I spoke of in this post I came up with a nice, cargo net-style lap blanket. :) It's SO THICK that even though it's holey, I think it'll keep him warm!

It's a simple stitch (Just dc with a sc skip between each stitch) but I'm a newbie and I'm just not that good. :lol It basically turned out like a huge afghan square. But if you're using this technique, remember... it takes alot of fabric!

(Sorry for the poor picture quality; my camera thinks that everything should have a flash)

Fantastic! Great idea and beautiful work! I have some fleece remnants and now I'm seeing a possible use for them. Thank you very much.
