All dressed in white

A special little girl I know is getting her first communion this weekend, so I made her this doll dress as a gift. She loves her dolls, and I thought she'd enjoy playing first communion with it now and wedding later.

This is a hybrid of two of Darski's patterns, Sunnie's Summer Frock and Lo How a Rose Ere Blooming, found here:

I didn't follow either pattern to the letter, but credit is definitely due.

The dress is made with ww white and the overskirt and edging around the neckline are with Bernat Baby Softee (the one that shimmers a bit). I sewed on the little pink silk flower.

Making her modelling debut here is my doll, Sophie.

Thanks for looking!

Very, very beautiful! What wonderful keepsake for this little girl. You could get some tulle and make a veil too for her dolly. Crochet a little flower ring and attach a gathered part of tulle to the back. Make it as long as the doll's waist.

Thanks for sharing! I love Darski's patterns.

That is a great idea...I had thought about crocheting a lacy veil, but I love the tulle idea more. Thanks!
