Tunisian/Afghan Crochet ??

xantha

Question

Does anyone out there do much work with Tunisian crochet?

I just started working with it yesterday and I like it, though I have only done the first generic Tunisian knit stitch <img border=0 src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/question.gif" /> back and forth. It seems to tend to curl up on itself, not unlike stockingette does (in knitting) -- this could also be a byproduct of my super tight stitches.

Just curious if anyone has any online or book references they would like to suggest. I'd also love to see examples of work you have done in Tunisian!

I have been through the sections in The Encyclopedia of Crochet and in the Crochet Stitch Bible.

I've only done three things, all back and fourth basic stuff.

My first project, a baby blanket, click on the photo to see full sized:

My second project was this pillow for my husband:

I really like this stitch too and hope to do more with it.

Just did this purse the other day and fulled it.

I love everything! It looks great!

[except for the UGA pillow, but that's only because I'm a Tech Alum and they're our big rival. :hee ]

I spent some time last night working in TKS. It's very fast! It does tend to use a lot of yarn, though.

:clap looooooving Tunisian.
