Scrubbies?

I am making scrubbies with the round scrubbie pad in the middle of a crochet'd wash cloth around it. You crochet in the round. They are turning out really cute! I love the one with the yellow scrubbie in the middle of a white washcloth! It looks like someone fried and egg on my counter top! LOL

 

What I am wondering, is could I use Roll or Bullion in the washcloth?

 

Do you think it would make it a little prettier and provide a little more **Umph** to the washcloth?

I don't have an answer for you, but was wondering if there is a pattern for the scrubbie you are making? I make the nylon net ones but have never put a pad in them.

lol I love the fried egg idea! !

 

I would think you could use any kind of stitch you like in them. I've not tried one with a special stitch in particular, but I have one that Vera made me similar to a granny square look and it works great.

Boy I sure had a hard time finding the scrubbies. I finally found them at Big Lots.

I got mine at Dollar General for a buck for 6. Walmart had them in the broom and mop aisle for 97cents for 6, but only 2 colors. Glad you found them! Heather
