Recycled Funky VCR Tape Purse -Free Pattern

Okay I know this may not appeal to everyone, but I made it for a young girl. I've had all boys so I went out on a limb to create something fun and funky. Here is the result.

 

 

It's a sling type bag crocheted from recycled VCR tape and I added some Lion Brand Ribbon yarn to spice it up. I used double strand of VCR tape held together to crochet this using a HDC stitch. I topped it off with a wild button that matched my ribbon yarn. I do have the free pattern available here if you want to make this little purse. I think that is the coolest thing since the beer can hat! (LOL) I never would have thought that something so plain (like VCR tape lol) could be so cute! I love it!!! I just hope it wasn't a good movie. ;0)
