Need help with European(?) yarn care symbol

Recommended Posts

I have some Regia yarn and there is one symbol on the care label that I do not understand. You can see it here http://www.coatsgmbh.de/Produkte/Stricken/Regia/Regia+4fädig/Regia+4fädig+Uni.htm It is the 6th symbol, the one that looks like a dome with a fence around it. I am guessing it is a symbol used in Europe but not in the US as I can't find a reference to it anywhere.

I do understand the rest of the symbols, and the label also says "machine washable, non-felting, very hard wearing, retains its shape". the yarn is 25% polyamide and 75% new wool, and was made in Italy.

Thanks for any help you can give me:crocheting:crocheting

I am sorry...that URL does not work...I think the two dots over the "a" messed up the URL, but if you go to this page, http://www.coatsgmbh.de/Produkte/Stricken/Regia/regia.htm and then click on Regia 4fadig, and then on one of the pictures of the yarn, you can get to the page.

I tried to edit my first post but I couldn't do that either:think Sorry to be so much trouble!

I found this and it still isn't there!!!!!

But I think jenhen figured it out...The "DOME" might be the handle on a knitting machine.....look at it again, it makes sense!:yes

I just left clicked the icon, and clicked on properties...it says it is suitable for machine knitting!

I agree it's for knitting machines. If you right click on the picture, then properties, the name of the pic file is 'knitting machine'
