How lovely! When my kids were little, I did crafts with them. One was re-using the fancy foil Xmas cards sent to us. We cut out Xmas shapes and glued the current school photo in them. Punched holes along the outside edges. Then I crocheted an edging around them. Then we dipped them in varnish.

Those are great memories. My husbands grandmother made Christmas ornaments for every child, grandchild and great-grandchild till the year she passed. She had 10 children of her own, so you can imagine how busy that kept her.
