How much yarn for Cocoon Sweater??

I hope some one who has actually made one of these can help.

I have just started one,but I don't know how much yarn it actually requires?

I had some one lb balls of RH and Phentex

but how many ounces/grams do you need to follow the directions as written?

Roughly 500 grams.

I used five 6 ounce skeins of RH Fiesta yarn. So, I would say, depending on what size you are making, 32 ounces at the most and less if it's smaller than a size 1-2X

You're definitely safe w. 32oz.

my daughters want these new crop(short) sweaters everyone is wearing from the stores like suzy shier and eclipse here in Canada.

I've searched for free crochet patterns,and seems EVERYONE else is too..lol

but the two on the web availble aren't what they want

It can definitely be done in thread, but I think that you should probably do it in yarn first to see how the pattern works and then try it in thread.
