Need Urgent Help With Patten!!!

Recommended Posts

my pattern says to

Ch 6; join with sl st to form a ring.

1: (Ch 6, sc in ring) 5 times. Ch 3; tc in ring.

2: Ch 7; tc in same space; ch 3. (tc-ch3-tc in next sp; ch 3) 5 times.

Join with a sl st to 3rd ch of beginning ch 7.

I get it up to the chain 3;triplecrochet in ring. i do that but there is no join or anything for the next row! because in the next row, you repeat the pattern 5 times(which stops at the ch. 3 tc) and then it tells you to slipstitch into the chain 7, skipping over the ch.3 tc, and it looks wierd int he next round, you have this huge hole and an unworked loop! please help!:angry:eek:think:(

Is your pattern a free one? Without seeing it, going by what you posted, your join is the spot I've highlighted in RED

Once you do that tc in the next space, you have joined the row, although the '" Ch 7; tc in same space " takes the place of the first " tr, ch 3, tr " pattern in row 2.

I hope I haven't confused you.

You don't need to join. When you ch3 and do a trc you're actually setting up the starting point for the next round. It's just a different technique. When you do this you should finish the round in the middle of the loop.

It could have said to ch6, slst to join and sl st into the center of the next ch sp.
