Halloween Purse

This is a purse that I made for a friend who is Halloween crazy.

 

 

It was done with RHSS in black and orange, no pattern. I just made an oval, then did no increases to go up. About the time I did the handels I switched to a smaller hook to make the shape narrow. I was pretty happy with how it turned out.

Thank you! It was a lot of fun to make, and worked up super fast given that it was a 2 strand purse. I wish I had taken the time to line it, but she won't let me have it back. She was really, really happy. I love giving gifts that are appreciated like that.

I love Halloween stuff. Last week we had friends for dinner. I found black crackers and served them with hummus that had red peppers in it. The hummus looked orange.

 

For dinner we had black rice (not wild rice) cooked in coconut milk, miniature orange squashes, asparagus tied with a carrot strip, and chicken breast with an orange Indian sauce. The Indian sauce (pinja) was red but I managed to get it to an orange shade by stirring in a bit of cream.
