Donate Supplies?

Does anyone here have an idea of where someone could donate crochet supplies?

 

A coworker purchased her grandmother's house (including all of the contents), and she has found yarn, hooks, patterns, partially completed projects, etc., that she would like to donate to a charity.

 

I told her I'd post here to see if anyone had any ideas.

There are several church ministries , the senior center, I donate to my local abuse shelter, also to a local scouting group.

Hospital auxiliaries, long term care centers, senior centers, after school programs...

 

You can get more local ideas from your county Department of Social Services.

Project Linus takes donations of any kind as well. Churches and the like should also take them even some nursing homes that have "craft" type days will take them

I'd agree with the after school program suggestion, if you can find one in your area. Or a daycare. I teach at an after care and I've taught all my kids to crochet and they love it! And even if they're not crocheting kids, they can still use the yarn for art projects and stuff.
