Suggestions For These Scarves

I would like to make something similar to these scarves since these are no doubt copyrighted. These appear in the Victorian Trading Co catalog.

 

Does anyone know of a basic scarf pattern that is a lattice design? I can make the roses and applique them on.

 

Also, what motif would I need to use for the granny scarf? It looks like some sort of granny flower?????

i think the scarf is made up of elongated rectangular motifs featuring that flower in the center, a mesh-type stitch on the main body, and maybe a type of shell / double-shell stitch along the corners / diagonals. have fun!

a lattice stitch can be like a mesh stitch... don't know the official names...

 

I've done it for bags by ch 5, sc...and repeat. It makes a lattice look/mesh look.

There's a LOT of afghan flower motif patterns on Crochetpatterncentral.com, go to afghans or the 6", 7", 8", 12" squares sections and have a look. You could use the center flower and make a mesh around to complete the square, then join-as-you-go for the one on the right, or just join the flowers for the one on the left.
