Went out on a limb....

I mentioned about a month ago that I wanted to try to make this shawl which is a knit pattern. Several have warned against this for very valid reasons. I have taken that to heart however still want to give this a try. There is s Yahoo group doing a KAL and I sent the moderator a private message asking if she would mind if I joined just to see progressive pictures, not asking for any help. She has graciously allowed me to join the group - YEAH!!! I have 2 ghans to finish and I'm going to put serious effort into this project.

wow i would try that if i knew how to knit but sadly i become a tangled mess with two needles and yarn

It looks great. Give it a good hard try. You can accomplish anything your heart desires.

Oh, I got that Daily Knitting post and fell in love with the Icelandic shawl. But I'm way too inexperienced a knitter to attempt it. But I'll cheer you on and maybe pick your brain when you're done for hints! GO!! Patty

Why would anyone try to discourage you from it? Personally, that would make me want to do it even more.

Thanks so much everyone for your encouragement!! I plan to write down what I'm doing and make it available on my blog. Also, thanks Snugs, I could likely take you up on that...how is it that the two knitters who have offered to help couldn't POSSIBLY live much farther away from me, Monterey California and Montreal, Canada!! I appreciate help from both of you tho
