How long should a lapghan be for someone in a wheelchair?

Recommended Posts

I would think that you would not want it to be much longer than the person's leg length.

I agree but it's not for any person in particular. Guess I can assume an average, maybe a little longer than it would be for me.

Thanks y'all!

Most people agree that a Lapghan should be about 3 feet by 4 feet (36 X 48)

It would depend on the use for the item but we have to consider wheelchair mechanisms and such if we don't know who will be getting the item.

Local Red Cross wants them to be 36 x 36. I like (30 or 36) x 40. Also consider putting pockets on them so you can put your hands in them to keep warm.

I think that 30 X 36 would likely be good for most who are in a wheelchair.

I have a tendency to use 12 inch squares (it takes only 12 to make the 3X4) but I think your sizes might be better...:think
