Question
CraftyJen
I've assumed that DK (double knitting) yarn in the UK was the same thickness as WW (worsted weight) in ths US but I've just made some slippers using 2 strands of DK and they aren't near as thick as the pictures I've seen of the same slippers made with WW. I did find one chart online that states that DK is the same as sport weight. Is this accurate? Should I use 3 strands of DK when it calls for 2 strands of WW? Is there a better site that explains more in detail? I've searched but didn't find anything other than this one.

Thanks for your help.
