Drop spindles and spinning help

I just ordered a drop spindle and some roving. It has not come yet, but I am excited to start reading about it. I have never spun before. I would love suggestions of good websites to go to for help and any other suggestions you may have. Thanks so much!! Stormy

Hope your spinning is working out well. If you're still looking for references, here's a booklet that really helped me: "Spindle Spinning - From Novice to Expert" by Connie Delaney. It's an older paperback booklet that I found in my library. You can also order it from her website if interested: spincraftpatterns.com

 

I liked her booklet because it deals strictly with spindle spinning and has tons of practical info for beginners.
