joining squares

I am ready to join the squares of my music afghan but am not sure what method to use to join the squares. Whipstitch, or slip stitch? any ideas/advice?

While I'll be the first one to agree that whipstitching LOOKS the best, I have to admit that I always use sc to join my squares, simply because it's stronger and quicker. But I would think that slip stitching would probably work just as well and not be quite AS noticable.

 

But that's just me.

When I join squares I either do whipstitch or single crochet them together. It just depends on how I feel about the joining at the time.....I like either/or.

i am glad you asked this because i am also going to have to do this soon and now i won't have to ask agian, so how do you sc them together (in plain english please) which stiches do you use ect...

and if you are sewing together different color squares what color yarn do you use?
